Mary Ann Knippel, RN, BSN

MEMBERSHIP CHAIR

Mary Ann has been a camp nurse at Swift Nature Camp in Minong, WI, and an ACN member since 1997. She has 25 years of professional nursing practice in occupational and community health nursing. Currently, Mary Ann is in private practice as a workshop presenter and consultant. She has worked with youth in local and state tobacco prevention programs, presented at ACN's Camp Nurse Symposium, and is an eager promoter of camp nursing at the National Wellness Conference.

Mary Ann has a special love for humor and what it can provide her clients. ACN members may have heard her speak on this topic as well as others during ACA's Mid-States Conference. Mary Ann has also talked to the local Student Nurse Association about camp nursing. Mary Ann currently practices as a parish nurse and has continued her seminar business of providing camp nurse training seminars each spring.
