Building a new camp health center can be a daunting task.  Therefore, we hope you find this information helpful as you plan your new space.

ACH leadership created the opportunity to speak with experts who have walked this path of building a new health center and renovating current space.  Here are their insights and feedback. Evaluating how your campers and staff interface with your camp health services is important. What health services are accessed frequently, and how can you best plan for the flow? Creating a smooth interface between campers / staff and health services allows  the least amount of interruption to the camp program they have come to participate in. Medication administration, health care check in, managing daily concerns (dressing changes, injury assessment etc…) can often be points of congestion. The most important idea that emerged was to take time to plan well.
